We are hiring for the 2019 season. Opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment are available.
Present Tense Farm operates on leased land. For 2019, we will be farming a new site that provides us with additional acreage and infrastructure for expansion. We intend to cultivate 8 acres of diversified vegetables and seasonal cover crops through sustainable and organic growing methods. We farm 35 miles outside Seattle, which provides us with access to a great market. Our farm sells year-round, offering storage crops and hardy greens through the winter.
All of our vegetables are sold directly to restaurants, markets and our local farmers cooperative.
We are a farm that is focused on production and on improving production efficiencies. We are dedicated to providing a high quality product to our consumers and attention to detail is important. Each year we employ a small crew that is involved with all aspects of the farm from seeding and planting, to harvest, washing, and getting veggies to markets and restaurants. While everyone does a bit of everything there is always room for areas of focus for individuals that express particular interests and capabilities.
Working on a farm can be challenging, fast paced, repetitive, rewarding, interesting and groovy.

Crew Members (full-time)
All full-time positions are Monday - Friday, 35-50 hours/week, depending on seasonal demands. April - November, with the possibility of long-term employment. Compensation is $13/per hour, Vacation PTO and of course, vegetables.
Crew Members (part-time)
All part-time positions are 2-3 days/week, Monday - Friday. 20-30 hours/week, depending on seasonal demands. May/June - November, with the possibility of long-term employment. Compensation is $13/per hour and vegetables.
Delivery Driver (part-time or full-time)
This position could be either part-time or full-time, if coupled with on-farm work. The delivery driver will be delivering orders to our restaurant partners, 1-2 times/per week. May - October, with the possibility of long-term employment. Competitive hourly rate + vegetables. Experience with delivery routes in Seattle and driving box trucks/vans is preferred but not required.
